Christine:

Hello, and welcome to the Mirror Project.

2

:

We are your hosts, Christine,

3

:

Alexandra: and Alexandra.

4

:

Christine: and we are thrilled

to have you back with us.

5

:

We've missed you all so much,

and we're so excited to be

6

:

back just in time for summer.

7

:

hope you're ready for some sunshine,

fun, and fantastic conversations.

8

:

Today, we're kicking things off with

a special listener Q& A episode.

9

:

We've got some amazing questions from

you guys, and we can't wait to dive in.

10

:

So grab your favorite summer drink,

and Sit back and let's get started.

11

:

It's going to be a fun ride.

12

:

Alexandra: Before we dive in today's

topic, like, subscribe, or follow us

13

:

on your preferred listening platform.

14

:

Go ahead, pause, and do

it now before you forget.

15

:

Don't worry, we won't

get started without you.

16

:

Christine: All right.

17

:

So we got so many amazing questions

from you all that we decided to

18

:

break them up into two parts.

19

:

So we're going to start with

podcast related questions.

20

:

And I will say, I know I put together this

outline for the episode, but did I think

21

:

about the answers to these questions?

22

:

Not a whole lot.

23

:

So I'm going to be winging it and it'll

be fun to see what comes out of my mouth.

24

:

Alexandra: I feel like that's every

episode that Christine will plan, but

25

:

then it's just, hey, in the moment.

26

:

Christine: then it's authentic.

27

:

Alexandra: Yes, and it's real

and it's fun and we get to bring

28

:

everyone along for the ride with us.

29

:

Christine: I don't want to overthink

things too much because I'm, I

30

:

classically do overthink things.

31

:

But anyway let's get started

with these questions.

32

:

Alright, so one is what's been

our favorite episode so far?

33

:

Alexandra, why don't you kick us off?

34

:

Alexandra: Oh, wow.

35

:

Okay.

36

:

Okay.

37

:

So Before we jump into that, can you

believe that this is our 17th episode

38

:

and we only started in February?

39

:

So we have quite a lot of

episodes to choose from.

40

:

Christine: I can't believe it.

41

:

I still, sometimes I'm

like, wow, we're doing it.

42

:

for such a long time.

43

:

It was just this idea,

but now we're doing it.

44

:

And it's wild that we're on 17 and

we're answering your questions What

45

:

Alexandra: I really like our

sayings and mantras episode.

46

:

I thought that was really cool.

47

:

I feel like we keep

coming back to that one.

48

:

Yeah.

49

:

I was like hitting the ground running.

50

:

I've also enjoyed the ones where we've had

guests on like my friend Traveris does.

51

:

That was really fun because she

always brings such inspiring

52

:

questions to the conversation.

53

:

So we do little teas

for later in the year.

54

:

We have an episode coming up with her

where we kind of cut the small talk.

55

:

So that was super exciting.

56

:

And wow.

57

:

I mean, there's really so many, those are

the couple that are sticking out to me.

58

:

What about you, Christine?

59

:

Christine: I agree with you.

60

:

I episode two sayings and mantras.

61

:

We is definitely one of my favorites.

62

:

And it's also been one that I think has

resonated with a lot of people because

63

:

I've had people come up, say to me, wow,

I loved that sayings and mantras episode.

64

:

So that feels so good knowing that we

kind of, you know, hit it out of the park

65

:

with that One of our first topic episodes.

66

:

So sayings and mantras.

67

:

think.

68

:

I did really enjoy our conversation.

69

:

Oh gosh, I'm blanking on episode titles.

70

:

The one where we talked

about self confidence.

71

:

Am I confident?

72

:

Hello.

73

:

Alexandra: Ooh, that was a good one.

74

:

Christine: one.

75

:

That was one where I felt like I really

Went deep and was vulnerable in a

76

:

way I hadn't yet been on the podcast.

77

:

So,

78

:

I really enjoyed that one.

79

:

Sort of peeling back more layers

and getting to the heart of things.

80

:

And then most recently I loved

the episodes we did with our moms.

81

:

Alexandra: Was really fun.

82

:

That was,

83

:

Christine: And having them on was so fun.

84

:

I really loved it.

85

:

Alexandra: I really liked the two

part format because it allowed us to,

86

:

you know, take people who've been so

instrumental in our lives and really

87

:

devote specific times to parts of

that relationship, which was cool.

88

:

Christine: Yeah, I agree.

89

:

Alexandra: I am actually having

to look back at our calendar to

90

:

remember all the episode titles.

91

:

I really enjoyed the forget balance

episode, the one I was like, you know,

92

:

go crazy, join a cult, then start one.

93

:

That was a lot of fun.

94

:

And I remember in the episode, I was like,

I don't really love the word balance.

95

:

Cause we don't want to be still.

96

:

And then a coworker of mine was like

said she likes the word harmony,

97

:

like a harmony between Work in

light, like work, life harmony.

98

:

And I was like, Ooh, I like that.

99

:

Cause it's, you know,

it's kind of a dance.

100

:

So, that just made me think of that, but.

101

:

Christine: That's really cool.

102

:

Cause I think it also speaks to the

reality of how life can be, right?

103

:

Like it's never truly 50, 50.

104

:

You're constantly like trying to find.

105

:

Steady ground, but harmony

allows you to flow with it.

106

:

And that's a good way to look at it.

107

:

Very cool.

108

:

Alexandra: So what has been the funniest

moment to date, or if not the funniest,

109

:

what have been some of the funniest?

110

:

Christine: Well, it's always pretty

funny when we sit down to record, cause

111

:

I feel like as soon as I press that

button, I'm like, what am I going to say?

112

:

So as Alexandra has mentioned, we have

to put a blooper reel out there because

113

:

there's so many funny things of like us.

114

:

Me messing up and

115

:

Alexandra: We both do.

116

:

It's not just Christine.

117

:

Christine: but let me

think, has there been a.

118

:

You know, I've really loved

having Nicole on, my sister.

119

:

She, I always laugh so much.

120

:

So I feel like whenever she's on or

when my other sister Tori is going to

121

:

be joining us for a future episode, I

can just imagine like having them on,

122

:

it's going to be a lot of fun and can't

wait to see what Tori brings to the mix.

123

:

But how about you, Alexandra?

124

:

Alexandra: I love it.

125

:

So we try to really like outline

script, some of our intros and closings

126

:

to keep it keep us from rambling.

127

:

Cause I think we can kind of,

we can get into a flow and Oh

128

:

my gosh, let's keep talking.

129

:

So to kind of keep us.

130

:

Tailored in and stuff.

131

:

We try to write them

out and they're great.

132

:

They're funny.

133

:

And then we'll sit down to record.

134

:

And we're like very serious, dead on.

135

:

I'm like looking at Christine.

136

:

I'm like, okay, we're saying this

and then serious moment, but our

137

:

mouth goes off and it's just like

138

:

Which we're like, okay.

139

:

And so then we laugh for

like about a half a minute

140

:

Christine: It's

141

:

Alexandra: and we're like okay.

142

:

Christine: I read a word, but my mouth

says a different word, or says it

143

:

combined words or I say, I don't know.

144

:

It just is kind of,

145

:

Alexandra: Or even if we don't have

something scripted and we're talking

146

:

about something and like you can

tell like we were thinking something

147

:

but our mouth went the other way

and we're like, what happened?

148

:

It's just

149

:

Christine: because that happens.

150

:

And I'm

151

:

Alexandra: What was I saying?

152

:

I was like,

153

:

Christine: I don't know where

I with this, but here we are.

154

:

Alexandra: Yeah, I know.

155

:

I think this is why we have to release

a blooper reel so people can join in

156

:

on some of the laughters and the gaffs

that we've had, because it's just

157

:

been, it's, you know, been quite funny

and totally randomly out of the blue.

158

:

We're in a good flow.

159

:

We're doing things.

160

:

And then suddenly it's Oh, now

we've got to get back on the tracks.

161

:

Similar to the first question,

one of the questions I got

162

:

was what's the favorite topic?

163

:

What is our favorite

topic discussed so far?

164

:

Christine: It's a really good one.

165

:

I always love the topics when we get deep.

166

:

I love when we talked about books and

our interest, because that's like a

167

:

really good insight into who we are and

we get to geek out and, all of that.

168

:

But I always love the topics where we

sort of keep peeling back those layers.

169

:

So like, I, the uh, Am I

confident episode or there's even

170

:

Alexandra: What

171

:

Christine: this.

172

:

Yeah, bravery.

173

:

There's even some coming

up this month where

174

:

flow and we I love it when we confront

topics where I've always feel a

175

:

little bit uncomfortable about it Not

because I don't want to talk about

176

:

it but because like I really have to

think about how I feel about these

177

:

situations because I think a lot of

people Or, I'll just speak for myself.

178

:

When when I'm faced with something that

makes me feel uncomfortable, it's hard

179

:

for me to continue facing it and dig

deep as to okay, why am I uncomfortable?

180

:

Is it because I what's,

it because of this?

181

:

Or is it something else that I don't

even realize but it's affecting

182

:

me when I Facing these situations.

183

:

So for me, those are my favorite

topics, but, what about you?

184

:

Alexandra: I enjoy that we're

doing some of those deeper

185

:

dives and we're definitely, I

feel like gaining traction and.

186

:

Delving further into those.

187

:

But I loved some of the ones that

we just kind of are in sometimes

188

:

balanced out with that the lighter

and like the pack your bags.

189

:

It's time to fly because

we both love to travel.

190

:

So I really like that.

191

:

Trying to think I'm looking forward

to some of the ones that are coming

192

:

up this month with your sister.

193

:

I like, I don't know.

194

:

I just like the variety of stuff we cover.

195

:

I think instead of just a

specific topic, I like that.

196

:

We cover a variety.

197

:

Cause people ask me like, Oh,

what's your podcast about?

198

:

And I would say, Oh, we

pick things that we cover.

199

:

are drawn to or we're dealing with and

that kind of guides what we're doing

200

:

versus being a sole topic podcast.

201

:

So I enjoy that part, which makes it

then difficult to say, what's my favorite

202

:

hands down topic that we've discussed.

203

:

Christine: Yeah, definitely.

204

:

I, yeah, I always, I think about it more

broadly and, you know, we've only done

205

:

one so far, but we plan to do more, the

history focused episodes was like the St.

206

:

Patrick's day when we did was

really fun to research and

207

:

Alexandra: I think

208

:

Christine: flow.

209

:

So I look forward to more of those.

210

:

Alexandra: we have what one,

211

:

maybe two or three, definitely

at least two more, I think.

212

:

this year.

213

:

Christine: coming out this summer and

then I can't remember when the next

214

:

one's coming But yeah, so stay tuned

more history focus episodes to come

215

:

Alexandra: Okay.

216

:

Dream guest, Christine.

217

:

Christine: dream guest

218

:

are we gonna be like completely realist

really like completely unrealistic or?

219

:

Alexandra: Okay.

220

:

Give me what we think is

unrealistic right now.

221

:

And then what you think

is realistic right now.

222

:

Christine: dream guest would

be my favorite artist of all

223

:

time right now, which is Adele.

224

:

I fucking love her so much.

225

:

I

226

:

Alexandra: She's so funny too.

227

:

Christine: so funny, and I feel like I

would just love to have a conversation

228

:

like we have on here with her.

229

:

We could go so many

different ways with it.

230

:

And she's just is the way she thinks

about life she things that have happened

231

:

to her and like moves forward with that.

232

:

It's just so cool to me how she's

a wonderful example of somebody who

233

:

continues to put in the work to add

anything she does her professional

234

:

life, her family life, her, like

even her relationship with herself.

235

:

It's really something I've.

236

:

watching and as a fan have always been

rooting for her, not only, with her

237

:

music, but just she's out there just

trying to live life like the rest of us.

238

:

And I really would love to

just talk with her about it a

239

:

bit more, but maybe one that.

240

:

In time, I think could be achievable.

241

:

Alexandra: We

242

:

Christine: don't know.

243

:

We'll see.

244

:

Alexandra: have to dream for the

stars and then make it happen.

245

:

Right.

246

:

Christine: What about you?

247

:

Alexandra: Oh, well you

didn't answer the second one.

248

:

Who's a bit more realistic right now that

you think we could in the next year or so.

249

:

Christine: You know, there, we up our

favorite influencers that we follow

250

:

in the body health and body episodes.

251

:

a influencer I found about.

252

:

A year ago, her name's Emma Arletta.

253

:

She is a plus size influencer,

and I just really love her vibe.

254

:

She I always enjoy her content.

255

:

She seems really sweet, and I think

it would be fun to have her on, and

256

:

we don't even have to have the episode

focused on body acceptance and the body

257

:

positivity movement and things like that.

258

:

I think she would just be a fun

person to interview cause she's

259

:

in, she's doing modeling now.

260

:

She's, had a whole life prior to becoming

like doing the influencer life full time.

261

:

She I think.

262

:

don't know if she was a speech

pathologist, but she had this whole

263

:

other career path that she was on

and was doing social media on the

264

:

side and got to a point where she was

able to make it her full time job.

265

:

So I feel like that would just be a really

interesting conversation of this wasn't

266

:

the life you, the job you are expecting

to have, but it sort of just grew.

267

:

And it'd be really cool to talk

with her about all of that.

268

:

Alexandra: I think that

would be a great episode.

269

:

You know, I don't know that we're fed

a story that when we're younger, but

270

:

I think I had this idea that, okay,

life is going to follow a set of

271

:

Pre prescribed orders and thing.

272

:

And

273

:

Christine: Yeah.

274

:

Alexandra: as Christine can attest

to have, we have both learned

275

:

that life does not follow that.

276

:

So it'd be very awesome to have somebody

who very almost publicly has shown

277

:

that shift, which would be awesome.

278

:

Christine: Cause like when you're

little, made to seem like, Oh,

279

:

there's these tracks that you can,

you pick what track you want to take.

280

:

And then you're mean to think

it's an easy shot from there or

281

:

it's a simple shot from there.

282

:

Not necessarily easy.

283

:

But it's really not how that it's really

not how it works as I've been rudely

284

:

awakened to realize, but yeah, but.

285

:

What about you, Alexandra?

286

:

Alexandra: so interestingly, kind of

more on the topic of dating life partner

287

:

or kind of, you know, what is it like?

288

:

In that field.

289

:

What are women hearing?

290

:

What are men hearing?

291

:

I would really love to get somebody.

292

:

I've probably started

following in the past year ish.

293

:

And his name is Will Hitchens.

294

:

I think I've mentioned him on an episode.

295

:

But he's out of Australia and I just

really enjoy his content and his content.

296

:

Perspective and his take, because he

talks about a lot about the male space

297

:

on, you know, social media and how

that says, if you're not a certain

298

:

way or like an alpha male kind of

thing, then you won't find females.

299

:

But I like how he responds to it.

300

:

And he's Hey, I used to listen

to that and think it was true.

301

:

And then what it's like

coming out of that.

302

:

And so it's really helpful, I think, to

see what women hear and then what Men

303

:

can hear and then where is the reality?

304

:

So I think that would be kind of fun.

305

:

And then Somebody maybe

a little bit sooner.

306

:

I really enjoy talking to Melissa

Sparrow she's somebody I know in

307

:

Canada who does Akashic record

reading and shamanic healings and as

308

:

people if you've been listening for

a while, you know that Christine and

309

:

I are into all the things, all the

witchy vibes and the spiritual stuff.

310

:

And it's, you know, my bread and butter.

311

:

So I'd love to have her on and talk

about that with you all listening

312

:

and share with you guys another part

of me and what Christine and I like.

313

:

So those are, I think the two like

current dream guests right now

314

:

Christine: Nice.

315

:

it happen.

316

:

Alexandra: would love

to have Adele on too.

317

:

So.

318

:

Christine: that one's

319

:

Alexandra: I think we

didn't make these for,

320

:

Christine: but who knows?

321

:

Yeah.

322

:

Okay.

323

:

This one was a fun question.

324

:

What has surprised you about making

the podcast as you continue to record?

325

:

I've never really thought

326

:

it.

327

:

It's a fun one.

328

:

Alexandra: I haven't either.

329

:

And, you know, I was actually weirdly

thinking along this and I hadn't

330

:

read our outline until basically

this morning for this episode.

331

:

And this past week is Christine can attest

to, I have been working on a project

332

:

for my MBA in a negotiations course.

333

:

And it's an audio visual thing

with a group of four and we're

334

:

had to record on a PowerPoint.

335

:

So it learned some new skills on

PowerPoint, which is kind of cool, but

336

:

surprised me about making this podcast

is how much more comfortable I am now

337

:

kind of allowing my voice and what

I'm saying to be recorded and not.

338

:

freaking out about it so much.

339

:

I think when I first sat down to record

on my slide for that PowerPoint, I was

340

:

like, Oh my gosh, it's, it was first

of all, learning PowerPoints recording

341

:

versus what we use here for this podcast.

342

:

Christine: Yeah.

343

:

Alexandra: it's okay.

344

:

But then something happened and

I think somehow my recording

345

:

for my slide got deleted.

346

:

So I had to redo it like Thursday night.

347

:

And I was actually here at my

desk, had my mic hooked up and I.

348

:

Clicked it and I was like,

Oh, this is, I know this,

349

:

with this.

350

:

I can do this.

351

:

So I enjoyed that as we continue doing

this, I'm getting more comfortable

352

:

speaking in other parts of my

life and putting myself out there.

353

:

But in terms of the podcast, I kind

of think it's, we'll start with one

354

:

thing where it's okay, we want to talk

about X, but then X will morph into

355

:

like X, a XB, like it kind of grows.

356

:

And sometimes I'm like, wow,

we could really talk about.

357

:

this one topic in many different ways.

358

:

So I think that constantly surprised me.

359

:

I'm like, okay, we're going to do this

and this is what it's going to be.

360

:

But we were just talking about

with Emma Arletta, like life

361

:

goes in a different direction.

362

:

So being able to flex and adapt with that.

363

:

Christine: Yeah.

364

:

For sure.

365

:

Alexandra: What about you, Christine,

366

:

Christine: to

367

:

point you were making, like there was

one episode in particular that the

368

:

balance episode where I thought I going

into it, I was one way, but as we were

369

:

having the conversation, I was like,

wow, talking about it, talking it out.

370

:

was realizing like, well, maybe this

there, what I thought isn't what I

371

:

thought it was going like, how it's

going to feel about it, you know?

372

:

So of course, when we sit down and

we think out, okay, the topics we're

373

:

going to discuss and the outline

we're going to have for that episode,

374

:

it isn't until we start actually

having the conversation that.

375

:

A lot of times I sort of discover

my thoughts and opinions on things

376

:

because when you listen to another

person share their feelings, it not

377

:

necessarily changes my opinions, but

it gives me a new way of thinking

378

:

or a new perspective on something.

379

:

And then so like that avenue

380

:

Alexandra: mull it over.

381

:

And

382

:

Christine: So.

383

:

I would say that's been the biggest

thing when it comes to recording.

384

:

But also I feel like as me personally this

project has really helped me build back

385

:

my confidence in a way that I've mentioned

before at the about a year ago, I was sort

386

:

of just totally Down, wrecked, depressed.

387

:

My job had really done a number on my

self confidence and my mental health.

388

:

working on this project and

making this podcast reality

389

:

has helped me in so many ways.

390

:

And I'm, I mean, I think back to

the first episode when we started

391

:

recording and Sitting down, like

in thinking about it, I'm like,

392

:

Oh, I'm going to be totally fine.

393

:

But once you sit down and you hit

that record button, you're like, whoa.

394

:

But

395

:

Alexandra: I want to say as, you know,

thinking back to that first episode

396

:

to like the last episode, really.

397

:

The last episode we released,

I have seen you grow just in

398

:

cause it's not visual, right?

399

:

I mean, you and I can see each

other recording, but right

400

:

now the podcast is only audio.

401

:

You can hear how much more comfortable

and confident you've gotten your voice.

402

:

So I, I liked that.

403

:

And I think it'll continue to

surprise both of us how much more

404

:

confident we'll get, but it's been

wonderful to see you grow that way.

405

:

Christine: you.

406

:

that's such a sweet compliment.

407

:

Thank you so much.

408

:

Yeah, I think it's like what you said,

I've really I found a comfortability

409

:

in voicing my, how I feeling and

my thoughts and opinions on things.

410

:

And not that I never, that wasn't how

it was before we did this podcast, but

411

:

this it's, it's just different now.

412

:

And I,

413

:

Alexandra: Yeah.

414

:

Christine: I'm loving it

415

:

Alexandra: And it's kind of different

to do it with your friends and

416

:

talk about it, but then to also go.

417

:

I'm willing to put this out

there and whatever comes back and

418

:

whoever listens, which is awesome.

419

:

And both frightening.

420

:

Christine: Yeah,

421

:

Alexandra: one more thing on the,

what surprised us is I think it

422

:

surprises me in a very good way

that our outlines seem to evolve.

423

:

I mean, we follow a similar pattern

because it's helpful, but I think as

424

:

we get more comfortable we kind of use

cues and stuff, but then I, when we go

425

:

back to write show notes, I'm like, Oh,

I have to remember, I have to write down

426

:

what we're saying while we're saying it.

427

:

Christine: definitely.

428

:

Alexandra: but I think, you know, before

it was like we needed a lot more structure

429

:

and now it's has opened up a lot.

430

:

So I'm excited to see where

those go in the future.

431

:

Christine: me too.

432

:

Yeah, it also might be fun to test some

other other ways of approaching episodes

433

:

just to sort of mix it up and see.

434

:

You never know until you try, right?

435

:

Alexandra: And since it's pre

recorded, we could always scrap it.

436

:

Christine: Exactly.

437

:

All right.

438

:

This one's fun.

439

:

If you did a crossover with

another podcast, would you choose?

440

:

Alexandra: Okay.

441

:

So This may surprise you.

442

:

I'm not a huge podcast listener.

443

:

I think of the two of us, Christine

is definitely more in the know about

444

:

different podcasts, but the only one I

can think of at the moment is rituals,

445

:

which is, I think kind of what you

introduced me to that podcast on Spotify.

446

:

And I think that was an

offshoot of those creators.

447

:

First podcast.

448

:

That's why we drink.

449

:

So that would be kind of cool because I

mean, as we've both mentioned, Christina,

450

:

you're very much like witchy stuff.

451

:

And I think it would be kind of cool to

do a crossover on some topic that they

452

:

haven't covered or if they're still going,

I'm not sure haven't listened in a while.

453

:

But my mom really likes the

podcast, the importance of sleep

454

:

or something, nothing much happens.

455

:

I think that would be really interesting

to do because the creator creates

456

:

podcasts to help people fall asleep.

457

:

And that's so very different from

what we're doing as a podcast that

458

:

I think that would be kind of cool.

459

:

Christine: be cool.

460

:

Yeah, I need to check that one out.

461

:

Your mom has talked several

times to me about that.

462

:

I'm like, wow, that's really fascinating.

463

:

Alexandra: What about you, Christine?

464

:

Christine: well,

465

:

like Alexander mentioned,

I consume a lot of things.

466

:

Podcasts being one of them.

467

:

So there's a lot to choose from.

468

:

But Okay, so there's one podcast that

I've started to just sort of follow.

469

:

I don't listen to them religiously

or anything, but the Lautners, the

470

:

Taylor and Taylor Lautner, they have a

podcast called the squeeze And they,

471

:

each episode, I don't know if it's

every episode, but they usually have a

472

:

cast come on and they kind of approach

conversations like we do, but they they're

473

:

Alexandra: Mm hmm.

474

:

Christine: and that sort

475

:

Of space, I think so a podcast

that's similar to ours, I think that

476

:

would be kind of a fun one to sort

of, have a crossover episode and

477

:

just maybe Talk to them about how

we're similar, how we're different.

478

:

But then I'm also, what got me into

podcasting was uh, not, not that big

479

:

of a surprise was crime podcasts.

480

:

I've listened to a lot of

different true crime podcasts

481

:

some that are like limited series.

482

:

The one that I've listened to

the most is called Crime Junkie.

483

:

Each episode is focused on a

different case it's really quite

484

:

fascinating because and I'm, I

really admire the work that they do.

485

:

They've built such a following and

they Bring new light and voices to

486

:

these cases that have gone unsolved.

487

:

Some for decades, some for just, you know,

like it doesn't matter how long it's been.

488

:

They give voices, voice to these

cases that are still not solved.

489

:

And as a person who's, who

always loves a good mystery I've.

490

:

Really enjoyed listening to

the work that they've done.

491

:

And I'd be really cool to just.

492

:

Talk with them and even sort of get

an inside look into how their creative

493

:

process and how they construct their

episode and the research involved.

494

:

And they have a an amazing

team that does a lot of the

495

:

groundwork for them and research.

496

:

And, but there's so many there's

so many great podcasters.

497

:

Alexandra: Definitely would love to

stick it to a point where we, for

498

:

like research heavy episodes, we

could have a team helping us do that.

499

:

Christine: Would be awesome.

500

:

Alexandra: yeah.

501

:

Which when you were talking about the

crew, true crime junkies, it made me

502

:

remember that there is a podcast I

have not listened to, but I started

503

:

following the account on Instagram.

504

:

And she's just very engaging.

505

:

And I think I've sent you one

of the trailers for an episode

506

:

and I was like, did you know?

507

:

And I'm like, this is so cool.

508

:

I think it's called for the

love of history podcast.

509

:

And you know, as we talked about

we kind of want to do some more

510

:

history based research episodes.

511

:

And I think that would be a cool

opportunity to crossover because somebody

512

:

who does like predominantly history

focused episodes for us to learn about.

513

:

What we should do more for those.

514

:

That'd be cool.

515

:

Christine: That would be really fun.

516

:

I would love that.

517

:

All right, here we go.

518

:

Any, has there been any topic

ideas that we've scrapped?

519

:

And what are they?

520

:

Alexandra: So I don't think we've

scrap scrapped any episodes.

521

:

Christine: Yes, as we've mentioned,

spent a year prepping and coming

522

:

up with ideas for this podcast.

523

:

So we have a document that is a mile long.

524

:

With so

525

:

exactly with so many ideas that we

haven't necessarily scrapped anything yet.

526

:

But we have a whole bunch that we

didn't get to or plan for this year.

527

:

So there's definitely more to

come in the coming year on that

528

:

Alexandra: I definitely think when we

were planning our year out, which we

529

:

are coming up to our timeline to do

that for:

530

:

we're like, okay, well, we already have

a lot of that type of content coming up.

531

:

So maybe we.

532

:

Postpone this one topic

until the next year or so.

533

:

Christine: Yeah,

534

:

Alexandra: yeah, it kind of feels like

the, you know, how topics have evolved.

535

:

Like we haven't really scrapped anything.

536

:

Christine: Yeah.

537

:

But maybe just to tease a little bit there

538

:

Alexandra: definitely.

539

:

I

540

:

Christine: a couple I'm

looking forward to, let's see.

541

:

family members.

542

:

We have to, was one that I

think we both would love to talk

543

:

about, but haven't gotten to yet.

544

:

Let's see, finding your home.

545

:

is where people notice

that you're not there.

546

:

I think that's such a beautiful

quote by Alexander Heyman.

547

:

what else?

548

:

Alexandra: feel like there

was one about soulmates and

549

:

how they show up in our lives.

550

:

Christine: Yes that, that's

one topic I think both of us

551

:

are kind of excited about.

552

:

And what is a soulmate?

553

:

cause I feel like there's so many

different kinds of soulmates out there.

554

:

I personally think that.

555

:

So yeah, guys, there's so many

things, habits and rituals.

556

:

What else?

557

:

Alexandra: I think we had talked

about maybe doing like Love

558

:

sex and taboo or something.

559

:

That would be kind of fun

delving into that realm.

560

:

Christine: Yeah, most definitely.

561

:

And then I think there's so many

we just touched on it briefly with

562

:

our first two part episode about

body image and health, but health

563

:

in general, there's so much to that.

564

:

So,

565

:

Alexandra: Definitely

566

:

Aspects like mental,

physical, emotional health.

567

:

I mean, even spiritual health

at many points of our lives.

568

:

Christine: yeah.

569

:

So so many, nothing has been scrapped.

570

:

Nothing is off the table.

571

:

That's for sure for the

both of us, but yeah,

572

:

Alexandra: And I definitely think

that there's topics that we've

573

:

already covered that we're like, we

want to come back and follow up on.

574

:

So those will get re

added to the list as well.

575

:

Christine: Definitely.

576

:

Alexandra: So Christine last

question around the podcast, what.

577

:

Does success for the mirror

project look like for you?

578

:

And I

579

:

Christine: So it's so interesting to

think about this because this for me

580

:

was just a fun creative project that

I wanted to do with my best friend,

581

:

but as we were planning and coming

up with what this could be and think

582

:

about what the future could be.

583

:

There's so many different

things I hope for.

584

:

Well, I sure hope that we continue to

do, we're continuing to do this the

585

:

next two, three, maybe even five years.

586

:

I.

587

:

Gosh, I would love for this to

grow and become my full time focus.

588

:

Maybe even be the start

of a podcast company.

589

:

And there's like different

podcasts that are underneath

590

:

the mirror project umbrella.

591

:

Like you mentioned our

topics are so varied.

592

:

It might be fun to have a podcast

that's focused on one specific thing.

593

:

But.

594

:

Alexandra: think also in that

supporting other podcasters who.

595

:

are interested in a similar format or

have a similar approach be so cool.

596

:

Christine: for this to grow

and, support other podcasters,

597

:

but also so their philanthropic

work is a big passion of mine.

598

:

So I would love for this to

benefit that in some way as well.

599

:

Wow.

600

:

There's so many, my

mind's just spinning right

601

:

you?

602

:

What do you think?

603

:

What's success look like?

604

:

Alexandra: similar to Christine.

605

:

I think in a practical sense for the

next year, I would really love to see

606

:

the show support itself in terms of,

607

:

I would love to have You know,

sponsors and listeners support us

608

:

so that we can continue creating

us for the listeners, which is

609

:

partially a lot of why we do this.

610

:

I also love getting to spend time with my

best friend recording this and creatively

611

:

expressing myself through a different

type of project than I normally do.

612

:

But yeah, I'd love to see our audience

grow and our community grow and

613

:

really support itself and take off.

614

:

Cause I would love to see that.

615

:

But yeah, I would love to see

us get our own recording space,

616

:

like not just our rooms, but like

a dedicated space or something.

617

:

So that'd be fun.

618

:

Christine: love that.

619

:

Alexandra: So.

620

:

we have our short term goals

and our long term goals.

621

:

And I love that.

622

:

Christine: yes, that's what, that's,

you know, that, that makes it easier

623

:

to constantly work towards something.

624

:

So yes,

625

:

a lot of a lot of hope for the future

of this and I'm excited to see it

626

:

grows and evolves because like we

said, there's so many ways this could

627

:

go and were here for whatever happens.

628

:

Alexandra: Also success wise,

I'd love to see have more

629

:

engagement with our audience.

630

:

So that, that would be a huge, I feel

like a benchmark, a mark of success

631

:

Christine: would love to

632

:

an element where we have listeners

either call in or come on and like

633

:

a guest for a segment of the show.

634

:

I think that would be so fun because

right now the way we're engaging

635

:

with people is just through our

social media and that's great.

636

:

I love that too.

637

:

But I want to see how far this could go.

638

:

Alexandra: I do want to say that we

have seen success that we started people

639

:

have donated to us, which is awesome,

which helps us keep funding this.

640

:

Our listener base has grown.

641

:

I feel like we have pretty

good audience engagement with

642

:

Christine: god,

643

:

Alexandra: and listen.

644

:

So I have to remember as

much as we want to grow.

645

:

We can also celebrate the

fact that Hey, we've done it.

646

:

Like you said, Christine earlier it's

kind of hard to believe Oh we're doing it.

647

:

So.

648

:

You ready to shift gears and

switch into the personal questions.

649

:

All right, Christine, coming out the

gate, what is a rabbit hole that you

650

:

could go down any day of the week?

651

:

I think

652

:

Christine: I try not to I know

there's people who like get

653

:

caught up in conspiracy theories.

654

:

I try not to do that.

655

:

But it definitely sometimes

you can't help it.

656

:

But for me it's like my interest when

it's like, there's a book series I

657

:

really love, or current, my current

rabbit hole obsession is Bridgerton.

658

:

Only four episodes have

come out, but I'm obsessed.

659

:

Alexandra: I mentioned in an episode,

I was like, I, you know, or we were

660

:

talking and I was like, I binged a show.

661

:

And then she was like, Wait, what show?

662

:

Christine: is it

663

:

Alexandra: And I was like, Third Vision.

664

:

And she's Okay, we have to talk about it.

665

:

Christine: do!

666

:

Oh my gosh, yes, we have, at length.

667

:

Alexandra: And I'm sure we will

again when part two comes out,

668

:

Christine: yes.

669

:

So that's my current thing that I can

just go go down a rabbit hole on and I

670

:

just get caught, all caught up in it.

671

:

And I'm sure people look at me

like, why are you re watching

672

:

this show five or six times?

673

:

I'm like,

674

:

Alexandra: because I love it.

675

:

Christine: it.

676

:

Alexandra: And it's so hot.

677

:

Christine: But yeah, I could easily

go down any sort of rabbit hole.

678

:

Alex and I go down them frequently.

679

:

I also love watching her and

her mom go down rabbit holes.

680

:

I just listen

681

:

Alexandra: Honestly.

682

:

Christine: our phone conversations.

683

:

I'm like, they go on a tangent.

684

:

I'm like, okay, guys, where are we going?

685

:

Where are we going to end

686

:

Alexandra: I think that could be close to

a sport sometimes when we start talking.

687

:

Christine: Yes, I would say you

and your mom are pros at that.

688

:

What

689

:

About you?

690

:

Alexandra: yeah.

691

:

Well, mentioned a couple of times

this episode, I love witchy stuff,

692

:

metaphysics spirituality stuff.

693

:

I can go down the rabbit

hole on that all day long.

694

:

love researching, but my, one

of my, the biggest things I

695

:

love to look into is tarot.

696

:

And maybe at some point we'll talk about.

697

:

you know, cards and

divination and all that jazz.

698

:

But a bit of a freak for tarot

699

:

Christine: Yes, you are.

700

:

Alexandra: and yeah, Christine can

Attached to my bit of a habit when

701

:

it comes to buying different decks.

702

:

Not all tarot.

703

:

I do have Oracle and Lenormand

and other things, but yep.

704

:

A book about tarot, how to read tarot,

this like numerology and tarot, spell

705

:

work and tarot, yeah, give it all to me.

706

:

And I'd love to go.

707

:

Christine: thinking out

your own book on tarot.

708

:

You're outlining

709

:

book.

710

:

Like this girl, everything I know

about tarot is because of her.

711

:

And has helped foster a love for myself.

712

:

So yeah definitely rabbit hole.

713

:

She loves to go down.

714

:

Alexandra: The book is something that has

been put on the back burner with my last

715

:

year of my MBA program, but it is still

percolating in the back of my mind and I

716

:

still keep thinking about it and what I

want it to be and how I want it to look.

717

:

So yeah, that's a project coming up.

718

:

But yeah, that's my rabbit

holes that sounded wrong.

719

:

Okay.

720

:

That's my rabbit hole.

721

:

I

722

:

Christine: That's your main one.

723

:

Yeah.

724

:

Alexandra: think we should cut that.

725

:

Christine: No.

726

:

I

727

:

Alexandra: Well, thanks, Christine.

728

:

Okay.

729

:

What is your current

favorites at the moment?

730

:

Some book, music, TV shows, activity.

731

:

Rattle off.

732

:

Christine: mentioned

one already, Bridgerton.

733

:

Excited for part two.

734

:

I've been also rewatching,

I love procedural dramas.

735

:

So I've,

736

:

Alexandra: Okay.

737

:

Christine: been, I recently

rewatched through 9 1 1 and I'm just

738

:

started rewatching 9 1 1 Lone Star.

739

:

just really enjoyed the format.

740

:

I like The stories it tells.

741

:

I mean, some of them are very crazy

and are, I sometimes wonder if it's

742

:

realistic, not really, but yeah, right

743

:

Alexandra: It's probably the drama.

744

:

Christine: right now I'm

on a real big TV kick.

745

:

Just

746

:

Of things

747

:

let's see.

748

:

Earlier in the year I was like reading for

like obsessively, so a good audio book.

749

:

I'm currently, I listened to Crescent

City, is the name, but Sarah J Maas.

750

:

I listened.

751

:

Alexandra: I, hilarious.

752

:

I actually just started

that book, audio book.

753

:

Christine: We're okay.

754

:

We'll have to, I'm coming to visit Alex.

755

:

Next weekend, so we'll have to

debrief and see where she's at.

756

:

It's a long book.

757

:

I don't know where you

758

:

Alexandra: Okay.

759

:

I think like chapter eight.

760

:

Christine: you, yeah,

you're just getting started.

761

:

So I've read the first one.

762

:

I have started the second.

763

:

I downloaded the third, so I'm

like ready to get all up in it.

764

:

Music?

765

:

Well, Beyonce came out with her

album a month or two ago, and I

766

:

really have been enjoying that.

767

:

Those who have watched Bridgerton will get

this reference, but I've had the Carriage

768

:

Scene song just on repeat in my head.

769

:

It's got no words, y'all.

770

:

It's just an instrumental, and the

violins It's my soundtrack to every day.

771

:

Alexandra: You, you sent

me three different social

772

:

media posts of that in a row.

773

:

I think she's a little

obsessed to be fair.

774

:

I have to agree.

775

:

I love how Bridgerton will take like

popular songs, like ABCDFU and like a

776

:

bit of in string quartet and a bunch

of other ones will come in and make

777

:

instrumental music to it, which I.

778

:

I love, you know, I love classical music.

779

:

So it's a real vibe.

780

:

Christine: It is indeed.

781

:

Alexandra: Any activities

that you've been his

782

:

Christine: Oh, I feel like I had one

the other day and it escaped me.

783

:

Hang on.

784

:

It's Well, like coming down to

785

:

see you next weekend, so I'm sure

you have some things in store.

786

:

I'm looking forward

787

:

Alexandra: Keep trying to convince

her we should go bowling, but I

788

:

keep getting like response to it.

789

:

Christine: go bowling, sure!

790

:

What else?

791

:

Just really looking forward

to going down to the beach.

792

:

Summer's here.

793

:

I love going down to the

shore and, playing in the

794

:

ocean and soaking up some sun.

795

:

Looking forward to

traveling a bit this summer.

796

:

Yeah, those are,

797

:

what's coming to mind

for me at the moment.

798

:

How about you?

799

:

Alexandra: All right, so I'm going

to try and write them off real quick.

800

:

The show's kind of split.

801

:

I just rewatched a little

bit of Sweet Magnolias.

802

:

I love that.

803

:

I don't know, it's kind of a vibe.

804

:

It makes me feel a little bit Gilmore

Girls, which, I don't know, I've been

805

:

kind of hesitant to rewatch Gilmore Girls,

and I typically rewatch it about once a

806

:

year or at least my favorite episodes.

807

:

Bunheads because that was a

one season also by the writer

808

:

and producer of Gilmore Girls.

809

:

That's a good one.

810

:

I got really into Netflix's

Dead Boy Detectives.

811

:

Thought that was so fun.

812

:

I'm like, I didn't even think

it would be a second season, so.

813

:

back and rewatching something, so

I actually started rewatching um,

814

:

CSI crime scene investigation, the

original one that started in:

815

:

So I was like, okay, this is fun.

816

:

I feel like I never saw season two.

817

:

I was like, wow, this is all new.

818

:

Oh, music.

819

:

As we talked about love music.

820

:

That's been instrumentalized

like modern music.

821

:

That's cool.

822

:

I love like at like academia, dark

academia, classical vibe music.

823

:

But I have really Been getting into

EDM house trap techno music, which

824

:

kind of relates into the activities.

825

:

So I'm going to jump to that real quick.

826

:

Trying to stay and get physically healthy.

827

:

And I've mentioned, I have a Peloton,

I think, and I love hopping on.

828

:

So You know, and when I just, my brain's

going around and Christine can attest to

829

:

we both tend to overthink things a lot.

830

:

I just hop on, or it's been like a

not great day and I can just hop on

831

:

and lose myself in the music, which I

really, really like, and the instructor.

832

:

So plus got such a vibe.

833

:

And I really liked that.

834

:

It's almost Never been to a rave.

835

:

Don't know that I will go to.

836

:

I feel like I enjoy my raves on the bike.

837

:

But it's, I really love the music.

838

:

Gets me super hyped.

839

:

Trying to think.

840

:

Books.

841

:

I have really I'm starting

to enjoy Crescent City.

842

:

It was a recommendation from

Funny enough, not you, Christine,

843

:

but my coworker, Christina,

which we call, who we call Tina.

844

:

And she was like, you just have to listen.

845

:

I was like, okay, I'll do that.

846

:

So been on that.

847

:

There's a, I'm going to save it

for another question later on.

848

:

So I'll save that one.

849

:

Movies.

850

:

You know, like you, Christine, I think

I've been mostly watching TV recently.

851

:

Movies haven't Kind of in the mood to

rewatch the:

852

:

Don't know why.

853

:

Just been, like that's coming up.

854

:

I want to see that.

855

:

But yeah, those are my current

favorites at the moment.

856

:

And activities, always.

857

:

reading tarot and oracle cards.

858

:

So that's always on the list.

859

:

But

860

:

Christine: definitely.

861

:

Alexandra: okay, Christine,

you ready for a hard one?

862

:

Christine: Yeah.

863

:

Alexandra: Okay.

864

:

How would we describe

each other in three words?

865

:

Christine: Well, if I was to

describe Alexandra in three words,

866

:

I would say loyal motivational.

867

:

Yes.

868

:

I'm constantly in awe and motivated

the, at what Alexandra does, she

869

:

also is such like a cheerleader for

the people she loves in her life.

870

:

So I feel like, yeah, loyal, motivational,

and gosh, there's so many words!

871

:

Loyal, motivational, and Joyful.

872

:

Loyal, motivational, and joyful

are my three words to describe

873

:

my dear friend, Alexandra.

874

:

Aww.

875

:

Alexandra: How can I sum up

you in three words, Christine?

876

:

I don't know.

877

:

Okay.

878

:

First word.

879

:

Sunshine.

880

:

I

881

:

feel like you're just always very

warm and bright and cheerful.

882

:

Christine: Thank you.

883

:

Alexandra: Sunshine.

884

:

Giving.

885

:

You're very generous with your time

and your kindness and always trying

886

:

to make sure people feel supported.

887

:

So you're very giving.

888

:

Sunshine, giving and curious.

889

:

I feel like when we talk, you're

always like, Oh, you learned something

890

:

new about food at work, or you saw

something on Instagram or somewhere else.

891

:

And you're like, Hey, did you hear?

892

:

And so, sunshine, curious

and giving wrapped

893

:

Christine: you.

894

:

That's very sweet.

895

:

Alexandra: up in a

896

:

Christine: Oh, that's fun.

897

:

We have, I love that we get, we have

these questions because we don't really

898

:

think about these until someone asks.

899

:

So,

900

:

Alexandra: That could be a challenge.

901

:

What if you had to quickly Instead of

having people's names in your phone or

902

:

as the title for them, if you gave them

three words, that would be interesting

903

:

to go through your contacts and

904

:

Christine: be fun.

905

:

Yeah, that's a fun, that's

a fun challenge for sure.

906

:

Okay.

907

:

Here's a, here's another good one.

908

:

How has your friendship evolved

since starting the podcast?

909

:

How has our friendship evolved?

910

:

Alexandra: well, I think it's

grown deeper in many ways.

911

:

I think, and also on a very practical

level in the sense of we're really

912

:

good friends, but also learning each

other as like business partners,

913

:

because Christine and I are as.

914

:

very similar as we are.

915

:

We're also so opposite.

916

:

I'm a morning person.

917

:

I'm like, hello, sunshine.

918

:

And she is the night owl.

919

:

And she's hello, evening.

920

:

And both of us were like, Oh,

you've lost me at that time.

921

:

Christine: it's

922

:

Alexandra: So,

923

:

Christine: one of your words

to describe me with sunshine

924

:

and I'm not a morning person.

925

:

Alexandra: no, but you have a

very just sunshine personality.

926

:

Christine: getcha.

927

:

Alexandra: So I think that's also, I

feel like for me, deep into my friendship

928

:

with you is just okay, the learning.

929

:

Each other's quirks in a

different way has also helped.

930

:

But it's nice also to have a constant

point of we do this together.

931

:

And also remembering to, to make

time to just call and catch up and do

932

:

things that aren't podcast related.

933

:

So balancing or harmonizing

between the two.

934

:

what about you, Christine?

935

:

Christine: No, I agree.

936

:

I don't, I yeah, 100%.

937

:

I don't have anything else to add.

938

:

I agree with what you said.

939

:

How to be business partners, but

also still prioritize our friendship

940

:

and figuring out how we'll work

together on this creatively.

941

:

Yeah.

942

:

I just echo everything you said.

943

:

Okay.

944

:

Alexandra: Okay, Christine,

here's a fun one.

945

:

Kind of relates, I think, to the

current favorites at the moment.

946

:

But if you could switch lives

with a fictional character for

947

:

a day, who would it be and why?

948

:

TV show, books, you know,

949

:

Christine: There's so

950

:

Alexandra: whatever.

951

:

Christine: Oh gosh, I've also, I've

consumed so much of everything, so.

952

:

Well,

953

:

Alexandra: I have a feeling

like maybe the carriage scene.

954

:

Yeah.

955

:

Christine: I've always loved Pride and

Prejudice, and that is Lizzie Bennet

956

:

has been character archetype that I've

always sort of in the back of my brain

957

:

and I love her journey in that story.

958

:

So I would say Elizabeth Bennett.

959

:

And then for the film and TV, sure,

I'd love to switch places with

960

:

Nicola Coughlin in Bridgerton and

be Penelope Featherington for a day.

961

:

Who wouldn't?

962

:

I mean, Colin's hot, man.

963

:

That, that

964

:

Alexandra: I also love how they,

965

:

Christine: ooh,

966

:

Alexandra: I love how they address

the glow up in the beginning of the

967

:

scene from Under What Foreign Sun.

968

:

Christine: Oh, his go up.

969

:

Yes.

970

:

Alexandra: You know, I

mean, both of them, but yes.

971

:

yeah,

972

:

Christine: just, love how, know

it's all fictional, but the way that

973

:

they, way with words that they have

both in Bridgerton and Jane Austen's

974

:

storytelling, it's just so beautiful.

975

:

Like it, it takes, I love

you to a whole nother level.

976

:

It's also like

977

:

love.

978

:

It's like not only how you speak to those

you care about, but how you show you love.

979

:

Those you care about.

980

:

So about you?

981

:

Alexandra: And really when I first

read this question, I was like, Oh,

982

:

definitely a fantasy character, like

some main female lead with powers.

983

:

And to be honest, all of it's kind

of fading out of my head, right?

984

:

I'm like, I wouldn't

know which one to pick.

985

:

There's so many that I really

like, but I'm trying to think of

986

:

honestly, any book like that has

just gone completely out of my head.

987

:

And I love so many

different, I really okay.

988

:

There's two, two characters.

989

:

In A Discovery of Witches, the

Diana, I really like her character.

990

:

I think that's kind of a cool character.

991

:

She has amazing abilities.

992

:

I also love the fact that

she's an academia an academia,

993

:

academic, an academic, sorry,

my words people I apologize.

994

:

But that she's like, Studying

and researching at Oxford

995

:

and just the library.

996

:

So it kind of really taps into

something in me that I'm like, I love

997

:

to study and learn about a lot of

stuff, but then also the practice and

998

:

the witchcraft and the time travel.

999

:

It's cool.

:

00:47:40,959 --> 00:47:41,249

It's cool.

:

00:47:41,279 --> 00:47:41,639

Right?

:

00:47:41,719 --> 00:47:42,079

Love it.

:

00:47:43,069 --> 00:47:45,659

But another fictional,

not fantasy character.

:

00:47:45,659 --> 00:47:49,378

I like there's a book by Helena

hunting that I listened to audio

:

00:47:49,378 --> 00:47:54,293

book because I really liked the voice

performer and how she narrates things.

:

00:47:54,383 --> 00:47:55,833

It was, oh, what was it called?

:

00:47:57,523 --> 00:47:58,383

Hold on, I gotta look it up.

:

00:47:58,933 --> 00:48:00,733

I should know this one

because I like it so much.

:

00:48:02,603 --> 00:48:07,523

If you hate me I would want to

be Beatrix or Rix because just

:

00:48:09,753 --> 00:48:13,090

some really um, if you've read or

listened to the book, you know.

:

00:48:13,130 --> 00:48:15,362

If you don't, go listen to it because

:

00:48:16,497 --> 00:48:17,647

Christine: Get in the know, everyone.

:

00:48:17,737 --> 00:48:19,707

Ah, yeah, I guess I have

to add this to my list.

:

00:48:20,327 --> 00:48:21,547

Alexandra: Yes, it's good.

:

00:48:21,547 --> 00:48:22,967

I've learned some things about myself.

:

00:48:24,692 --> 00:48:25,312

Christine: Noted.

:

00:48:25,507 --> 00:48:25,917

Alexandra: it's just

:

00:48:26,107 --> 00:48:28,767

Enemies to lovers, but

not really total enemies.

:

00:48:28,817 --> 00:48:30,817

It's just, I like it.

:

00:48:31,027 --> 00:48:32,717

I think the characters

have a bit more depth.

:

00:48:32,767 --> 00:48:35,257

You know, if you really think about

it, it's like Pride and Prejudice.

:

00:48:35,257 --> 00:48:37,387

I think so many people can go

Oh, it's Pride and Prejudice.

:

00:48:37,467 --> 00:48:39,048

It's just write it off.

:

00:48:39,048 --> 00:48:42,308

But I think I typically listen

or read to it about once a year.

:

00:48:42,308 --> 00:48:43,678

And there's so much

depth to the characters.

:

00:48:43,678 --> 00:48:47,508

If you kind of dissect it a little

bit more, but that's what I would do.

:

00:48:47,938 --> 00:48:51,828

If you had to eat food, one food

type of food for the rest of your

:

00:48:51,828 --> 00:48:53,338

life, first team, what would it be?

:

00:48:53,834 --> 00:48:56,304

Christine: Well, I think I should

pick something that can be versed

:

00:48:56,407 --> 00:49:01,447

well, are we literally thinking

like one food item or like a meal?

:

00:49:02,862 --> 00:49:04,252

Alexandra: Whatever, what would you like?

:

00:49:04,302 --> 00:49:06,442

Christine: Well, I was sort of

thinking well, maybe I should pick like

:

00:49:06,452 --> 00:49:08,832

pizza or something that I can like.

:

00:49:09,852 --> 00:49:14,862

up, like it's the same type of meal, but

it's, I can be a little creative with it.

:

00:49:15,222 --> 00:49:16,092

Well, okay.

:

00:49:16,482 --> 00:49:18,482

I had to eat one thing

for the rest of my life.

:

00:49:20,962 --> 00:49:23,462

I love a potato any form.

:

00:49:23,942 --> 00:49:25,382

Chip, fry

:

00:49:25,872 --> 00:49:26,472

Alexandra: Home fry.

:

00:49:26,547 --> 00:49:30,987

Christine: fry, hash brown

Just naming potato forms.

:

00:49:32,024 --> 00:49:34,744

Yeah, I w I guess I would

say it's a good one.

:

00:49:34,754 --> 00:49:36,484

That starch is good.

:

00:49:38,204 --> 00:49:38,964

Alexandra: So tasty.

:

00:49:39,574 --> 00:49:40,564

Kind of like you, Christine.

:

00:49:40,564 --> 00:49:42,994

I think if I had to pick something

that was versatile, I almost would

:

00:49:42,994 --> 00:49:46,624

say salad because then you can

throw any sort of topping, but you

:

00:49:46,624 --> 00:49:48,234

can also change the lettuce type.

:

00:49:48,344 --> 00:49:49,824

But that feels a little cliche.

:

00:49:49,884 --> 00:49:50,274

Okay.

:

00:49:50,794 --> 00:49:55,044

Here, if you could only eat one

dessert and that was the only

:

00:49:55,044 --> 00:49:56,894

dessert you could have your first

of your life, what would you have?

:

00:49:56,944 --> 00:49:58,214

Christine: be like, you'd pick salad.

:

00:49:58,214 --> 00:49:59,044

I pick potato.

:

00:50:00,874 --> 00:50:02,754

We would be very interesting people.

:

00:50:03,084 --> 00:50:03,414

Okay.

:

00:50:03,454 --> 00:50:08,194

I like this dessert currently

soft serve ice cream on a

:

00:50:08,194 --> 00:50:09,414

cone with rainbow sprinkles.

:

00:50:10,684 --> 00:50:15,404

Loving that and I think it's because

summertime is here, but that's my

:

00:50:15,414 --> 00:50:19,594

current favorite dessert And I could

eat that for the rest of my life

:

00:50:19,594 --> 00:50:26,244

right now, but I'm sure that'll

change in a month but currently

:

00:50:27,289 --> 00:50:28,569

Alexandra: Variety is the spice of life.

:

00:50:28,694 --> 00:50:29,414

Christine: How about you?

:

00:50:29,479 --> 00:50:30,149

Not

:

00:50:30,346 --> 00:50:32,156

Alexandra: I'm trying to think

of something that I really enjoy.

:

00:50:32,206 --> 00:50:35,166

I'm either thinking

truffles or macarons, right?

:

00:50:35,166 --> 00:50:39,666

Because the flavors can be different, but

I really enjoy the texture of a macaron.

:

00:50:39,696 --> 00:50:42,276

And then I really enjoy the

texture of a good truffle.

:

00:50:42,816 --> 00:50:43,656

Chocolate truffle

:

00:50:43,696 --> 00:50:45,436

just, yeah.

:

00:50:45,846 --> 00:50:47,256

So yeah, one of those two, I think.

:

00:50:47,866 --> 00:50:49,906

I had to have one to serve the

rest of my life, that'd be it.

:

00:50:50,926 --> 00:50:51,756

Christine: Those are great.

:

00:50:52,476 --> 00:50:54,176

love a macaron and I love a truffle.

:

00:50:55,136 --> 00:50:59,516

Okay, if you could time travel,

what era would you visit and why?

:

00:51:00,956 --> 00:51:03,396

Alexandra: Oh, I don't, oh, visit.

:

00:51:03,456 --> 00:51:03,786

Okay.

:

00:51:03,786 --> 00:51:05,026

At least I don't have to live there.

:

00:51:05,596 --> 00:51:08,996

Christine: You're coming back

to the 21st century, eventually.

:

00:51:10,133 --> 00:51:10,593

Alexandra: I don't know.

:

00:51:10,593 --> 00:51:15,783

I feel like visiting the area, the era

of Bridgerton, like to Regency, like

:

00:51:15,813 --> 00:51:17,968

Victorian, or like kind of around that.

:

00:51:17,968 --> 00:51:19,108

That would be cool to visit.

:

00:51:19,218 --> 00:51:21,158

I think, I don't know if I've

mentioned it on the podcast.

:

00:51:21,518 --> 00:51:23,688

I'm a huge fan of modern indoor plumbing.

:

00:51:23,788 --> 00:51:27,198

So living in the past, I've had

people who were like, Oh my gosh, you

:

00:51:27,198 --> 00:51:29,838

would do so well in a different past.

:

00:51:29,838 --> 00:51:33,688

And I'm like, I literally just finished

saying I prefer modern plumbing.

:

00:51:33,978 --> 00:51:34,238

So

:

00:51:35,128 --> 00:51:36,008

that, yeah.

:

00:51:36,008 --> 00:51:37,978

What about you what era or period?

:

00:51:37,978 --> 00:51:39,914

Yeah.

:

00:51:39,914 --> 00:51:41,851

Yeah.

:

00:51:41,851 --> 00:51:43,788

Okay.

:

00:51:43,903 --> 00:51:49,303

Christine: I, I definitely Sort of

have a nostalgia for decades of the

:

00:51:49,303 --> 00:51:56,633

past, but definitely like style,

not values that kind of a vibe.

:

00:51:57,023 --> 00:52:03,143

So, I mean, I love the the romantization

of the twenties like flappers and,

:

00:52:04,833 --> 00:52:11,243

the parties and the jazz and the sort

of, I feel like the twenties sort of.

:

00:52:11,658 --> 00:52:17,528

mimics Regency era as well, cause

both times were very sort of luxurious

:

00:52:17,648 --> 00:52:23,438

and indulgent, like that kind of, but

then like just juxtaposing that the

:

00:52:23,448 --> 00:52:30,528

twenties, I also really have a for the

forties and the like when Frank Sinatra

:

00:52:30,798 --> 00:52:33,258

and the crooners sort of came out.

:

00:52:33,628 --> 00:52:39,018

So Yeah, those, I would love to visit

any of those eras just to visit.

:

00:52:39,358 --> 00:52:40,408

And then, uh.

:

00:52:40,892 --> 00:52:42,652

I'll even throw like another one in there.

:

00:52:42,652 --> 00:52:45,462

I'd love to visit the seventies

and eighties, like the

:

00:52:45,492 --> 00:52:47,012

era of my parents grew up.

:

00:52:47,122 --> 00:52:50,882

Just because my, my, the, that,

that music sort of influenced

:

00:52:51,472 --> 00:52:53,322

Frank Sinatra, why I bring him up.

:

00:52:53,332 --> 00:52:54,692

My mom loves him.

:

00:52:54,792 --> 00:52:58,102

Listen to his music all the time

growing up, but the seventies,

:

00:52:58,132 --> 00:53:02,382

eighties rock was like my dad's

is my dad's bread and butter.

:

00:53:02,382 --> 00:53:06,722

And I have such fond memories

thinking back to listening

:

00:53:06,722 --> 00:53:08,762

to that music in summer time.

:

00:53:08,762 --> 00:53:16,842

And so I'd love to visit that time and

sort of to experience how parents grew up.

:

00:53:16,942 --> 00:53:19,062

So yeah, I know I can't

just pick one guys.

:

00:53:19,122 --> 00:53:19,752

I'm sorry.

:

00:53:19,872 --> 00:53:20,622

Just can't pick one.

:

00:53:21,957 --> 00:53:24,317

Alexandra: This is also why our

friendship works because neither

:

00:53:24,317 --> 00:53:25,987

of us can just go, this one thing.

:

00:53:26,437 --> 00:53:26,877

But yeah,

:

00:53:27,527 --> 00:53:27,747

So

:

00:53:27,782 --> 00:53:28,442

Christine: like this one.

:

00:53:29,192 --> 00:53:31,712

What's your favorite way

to unwind after a long day?

:

00:53:32,428 --> 00:53:35,648

Alexandra: I think I mentioned it

earlier it was the writing on the

:

00:53:35,898 --> 00:53:41,128

Peloton or working out mostly because it

feels like right now I've, as you have

:

00:53:41,128 --> 00:53:42,878

mentioned my schedule is pretty packed.

:

00:53:43,008 --> 00:53:43,528

So yeah.

:

00:53:46,148 --> 00:53:51,438

I really enjoy working out and I'm like,

I don't have time to go to a separate gym.

:

00:53:51,478 --> 00:53:53,358

So I really love the Peloton platform.

:

00:53:53,388 --> 00:53:56,748

And I love that I can get on and

I can ride, or I can be a bit more

:

00:53:56,748 --> 00:54:01,428

mellow and do yoga, or I can kill

my legs doing strength training.

:

00:54:01,428 --> 00:54:04,808

I think I did a leg workout

like a week ago and the

:

00:54:04,958 --> 00:54:05,128

Christine: You're still

:

00:54:05,358 --> 00:54:06,528

Alexandra: next day I was like, ow.

:

00:54:07,533 --> 00:54:08,263

I don't know.

:

00:54:08,263 --> 00:54:12,733

I was like, I just have to do it more

frequently, but it is really nice.

:

00:54:12,873 --> 00:54:19,733

So definitely on a like a long, hard day,

I will put on a EDM house trap techno ride

:

00:54:20,183 --> 00:54:22,633

and just get lost in the beat and just go.

:

00:54:22,873 --> 00:54:23,363

And I love it.

:

00:54:24,033 --> 00:54:24,993

But what about you, Christine?

:

00:54:25,033 --> 00:54:26,373

How do you like to unwind?

:

00:54:26,518 --> 00:54:26,998

Christine: Oh.

:

00:54:27,288 --> 00:54:35,518

Usually after a long day, I love the

stillness that comes when I come home.

:

00:54:35,688 --> 00:54:37,348

Living alone allows for that.

:

00:54:39,118 --> 00:54:42,518

So I just come home and I

sort of let my mind go blank.

:

00:54:42,898 --> 00:54:49,314

I just, when I can, when I'm not super

stressed or anxious, and I throw

:

00:54:49,314 --> 00:54:51,849

on an audiobook, Put some music on.

:

00:54:52,499 --> 00:54:57,239

I'm also loving I've struggled

with because I live alone cooking

:

00:54:57,249 --> 00:54:58,939

for myself just as one person.

:

00:54:58,939 --> 00:55:04,099

Cooking for one is a hard concept at

times, but with my current job, I'm

:

00:55:04,109 --> 00:55:07,549

around cooking and food all the time.

:

00:55:09,049 --> 00:55:15,634

I feel like that for me is something

I I'm enjoying and helps me unwind.

:

00:55:15,654 --> 00:55:18,584

I don't like the dishes part of

things as everyone knows now.

:

00:55:19,034 --> 00:55:19,594

Thanks mom.

:

00:55:19,904 --> 00:55:24,944

But yeah, I would say I come home

and I just sort of, I get comfy,

:

00:55:25,914 --> 00:55:34,264

something yummy pop on a TV show or

call someone I love FaceTiming you, or.

:

00:55:34,759 --> 00:55:41,219

It's my friend Tori, or my mom, or

sisters, and just sort of catching up

:

00:55:41,219 --> 00:55:45,866

with everyone because life can get so

busy it's important to check in with those

:

00:55:45,866 --> 00:55:47,846

people and see how their life's going.

:

00:55:48,106 --> 00:55:49,956

So that's kind of how I like to unwind.

:

00:55:50,417 --> 00:55:54,087

Alexandra: You've definitely pulled

me out of some low days when you call.

:

00:55:54,107 --> 00:55:54,717

So I

:

00:55:55,257 --> 00:55:56,047

appreciate you.

:

00:55:56,122 --> 00:55:57,032

Christine: Oh, I appreciate you too.

:

00:55:58,692 --> 00:55:59,182

It's a love

:

00:55:59,812 --> 00:56:00,592

the Mirror Project.

:

00:56:02,367 --> 00:56:06,127

Alexandra: So this question comes

from my friend, who we've had on

:

00:56:06,127 --> 00:56:08,267

this podcast and I am so excited.

:

00:56:08,467 --> 00:56:10,447

She is amazing.

:

00:56:10,547 --> 00:56:12,257

Asking questions that make you think

:

00:56:13,177 --> 00:56:13,797

or make you laugh.

:

00:56:14,547 --> 00:56:15,637

So this question is for her.

:

00:56:16,047 --> 00:56:18,527

What is the male equivalent

of receiving flowers?

:

00:56:18,717 --> 00:56:22,287

She was thinking one day how women

get flowers as sweet mementos

:

00:56:22,287 --> 00:56:25,830

on anniversaries or just because

but is there a parallel for men?

:

00:56:26,725 --> 00:56:30,515

Christine: It's so, and I love

Traveris and her questions.

:

00:56:30,575 --> 00:56:35,645

In my opinion, does there have to

be an equivalent get men flowers?

:

00:56:35,825 --> 00:56:37,895

I think I love that idea.

:

00:56:38,431 --> 00:56:41,011

last year for father's day,

I brought my dad flowers.

:

00:56:41,241 --> 00:56:42,721

I think just normalizing it.

:

00:56:42,721 --> 00:56:46,351

Flowers are beautiful

and men deserve that too.

:

00:56:46,381 --> 00:56:50,381

I'm all for just because

I, that's my opinion.

:

00:56:50,381 --> 00:56:51,031

What do you think?

:

00:56:51,538 --> 00:56:56,088

Alexandra: So yesterday when I got this

text message I was, doing readings.

:

00:56:56,408 --> 00:57:00,318

And I walked out to somebody who

was working at the shop where

:

00:57:00,488 --> 00:57:01,698

I do readings once a month.

:

00:57:02,088 --> 00:57:06,578

And I asked her the question and she

said her husband really likes flowers.

:

00:57:06,958 --> 00:57:09,078

And she was like, why, what did you say?

:

00:57:09,108 --> 00:57:13,778

And so I had said, I had texted my friend

back and I said my first thought was sex,

:

00:57:13,778 --> 00:57:15,668

but that might be oversimplifying it.

:

00:57:16,208 --> 00:57:16,608

Or.

:

00:57:16,953 --> 00:57:20,623

I think before I said that or I showed

her the response and then she's well, why

:

00:57:20,623 --> 00:57:22,953

don't you ask a young man who works there?

:

00:57:22,963 --> 00:57:26,373

And so I was like, Hey, what

do you like instead of flowers?

:

00:57:26,373 --> 00:57:30,703

What would you like to get from you

know, your girlfriend or something?

:

00:57:31,173 --> 00:57:34,393

And he was saying a lot

of the guys that he knows.

:

00:57:35,513 --> 00:57:36,793

Kind of they're very busy.

:

00:57:36,843 --> 00:57:41,383

So they like time with their partner

doing something that they maybe

:

00:57:41,383 --> 00:57:44,263

enjoy, which would be dependent on

the the person the guy in your life.

:

00:57:44,313 --> 00:57:46,477

And he's like, what'd you say?

:

00:57:46,546 --> 00:57:49,872

It's like sex, just sex.

:

00:57:50,252 --> 00:57:52,702

So that might be oversimplifying

it, but I feel you know,

:

00:57:52,762 --> 00:57:53,792

that might be also something

:

00:57:54,177 --> 00:57:54,567

Christine: All right.

:

00:57:54,907 --> 00:57:55,077

Yeah.

:

00:57:55,347 --> 00:57:56,567

I mean, Hey, that works too.

:

00:57:56,607 --> 00:57:57,467

I'm down for that.

:

00:57:58,492 --> 00:58:01,012

Alexandra: clearly my mind is in

the gutter and it's been a while.

:

00:58:01,142 --> 00:58:03,322

So, but I just laughed at that one.

:

00:58:03,322 --> 00:58:04,192

That was really fun.

:

00:58:04,252 --> 00:58:05,482

Christine: Think I love that.

:

00:58:05,502 --> 00:58:08,772

I love quality time of all

:

00:58:08,857 --> 00:58:10,087

Alexandra: however, that time in Spain.

:

00:58:10,752 --> 00:58:15,572

Christine: I, but I also think, you know,

get the flowers, give them the flowers.

:

00:58:16,002 --> 00:58:19,482

If you see a flower, it makes

you think of them, get it.

:

00:58:19,547 --> 00:58:22,057

Alexandra: And I think then

Traveris had said texted me back.

:

00:58:22,057 --> 00:58:23,157

She's she's heard food.

:

00:58:23,937 --> 00:58:27,097

Food is the way like to a man's

heart is through his stomach.

:

00:58:27,547 --> 00:58:27,897

So

:

00:58:29,212 --> 00:58:29,292

Christine: Alright.

:

00:58:30,527 --> 00:58:31,167

Alexandra: yeah, that was fun.

:

00:58:31,452 --> 00:58:32,052

Christine: Okay.

:

00:58:32,127 --> 00:58:34,257

Alexandra: I was like, I have

to share that story because my

:

00:58:34,567 --> 00:58:35,877

mind went straight to the gutter.

:

00:58:36,872 --> 00:58:38,082

Christine: Oh, Alexandra.

:

00:58:38,932 --> 00:58:39,822

silly Alexandra.

:

00:58:42,112 --> 00:58:42,702

Okay.

:

00:58:42,812 --> 00:58:45,532

Yeah, these next several questions

are courtesy of Traveris.

:

00:58:45,672 --> 00:58:47,202

So thank you for that.

:

00:58:47,292 --> 00:58:49,432

Are there any parts of your

life that feel performative?

:

00:58:49,433 --> 00:58:53,652

Are you performing for,

who are you performing for?

:

00:58:53,712 --> 00:58:54,182

Others?

:

00:58:54,517 --> 00:58:55,237

Or yourself.

:

00:58:56,067 --> 00:58:59,127

parts of your life do you feel you

show up the most authentically?

:

00:58:59,387 --> 00:58:59,717

That is

:

00:59:00,387 --> 00:59:01,177

Alexandra: Oh, wow.

:

00:59:01,647 --> 00:59:02,157

Christine: in one.

:

00:59:03,857 --> 00:59:06,647

Alexandra: Honestly, that could

be a whole topic on its own.

:

00:59:07,117 --> 00:59:07,947

Christine: it really can.

:

00:59:09,217 --> 00:59:10,117

Episode topic.

:

00:59:10,187 --> 00:59:11,757

You heard it here first, folks.

:

00:59:13,077 --> 00:59:13,607

Alexandra: All right.

:

00:59:14,062 --> 00:59:15,592

Let's rapid fire it, Christine.

:

00:59:15,692 --> 00:59:17,112

Quickly, what would you say?

:

00:59:17,357 --> 00:59:24,397

Christine: Yes, others because

I'm an introvert and I feel like

:

00:59:24,457 --> 00:59:26,737

the world favors extroverts.

:

00:59:27,127 --> 00:59:32,177

So I feel like I have to perform, put on a

per, like a performance version of myself.

:

00:59:32,497 --> 00:59:37,057

And only around those like family

found family, dear friends.

:

00:59:37,057 --> 00:59:38,967

Do I feel like I let that down?

:

00:59:39,407 --> 00:59:43,417

But I work in retail, so I feel like

there's an aspect of that's performative.

:

00:59:43,837 --> 00:59:47,357

What parts do you feel you

show up most authentically?

:

00:59:48,402 --> 00:59:52,078

My, my friend's family,

here, honestly, too.

:

00:59:52,118 --> 00:59:52,258

I

:

00:59:52,728 --> 00:59:53,928

this isn't a performance.

:

00:59:54,058 --> 00:59:55,588

I would say that rapid fire.

:

00:59:55,618 --> 00:59:56,508

How about you go

:

00:59:57,658 --> 00:59:58,168

Alexandra: Okay.

:

00:59:58,578 --> 01:00:01,530

Yes, a mixture of both myself and others.

:

01:00:01,830 --> 01:00:05,830

Because I feel, weirdly enough, some of

my family don't feel very comfortable

:

01:00:05,840 --> 01:00:08,620

around, so I feel like I have to

put on a different version of me.

:

01:00:09,020 --> 01:00:12,440

Same at work, I feel like there's like

professional Alexandra versus personal,

:

01:00:12,440 --> 01:00:17,150

although I am working to kind of break

down those walls and integrate more fully.

:

01:00:17,630 --> 01:00:19,900

What do I, where do I

show up authentically?

:

01:00:20,320 --> 01:00:23,017

I feel like, you know, with some of

my really close friends, a lot of

:

01:00:23,017 --> 01:00:26,917

the found family I have, I don't feel

the need to, you know, hide who I am

:

01:00:26,917 --> 01:00:31,277

authentically because that's how I

met them, which is really cool here

:

01:00:31,277 --> 01:00:32,977

with you, Christine always with you.

:

01:00:32,977 --> 01:00:36,782

I can just say Hey, You know, I can

say anything to Christine and she's

:

01:00:36,942 --> 01:00:38,662

not Oh my gosh, no, don't share that.

:

01:00:39,232 --> 01:00:47,412

And when I am doing my readings and

stuff for people, I feel like stepping

:

01:00:47,412 --> 01:00:51,702

into that version of me, which is,

feels more like me feels very authentic.

:

01:00:51,882 --> 01:00:53,172

So bringing that forward,

:

01:00:54,357 --> 01:00:54,537

Christine: All

:

01:00:54,702 --> 01:00:56,412

Alexandra: I feel like, but I

do feel like we need to come

:

01:00:56,412 --> 01:00:57,352

back to this as a whole episode.

:

01:00:57,392 --> 01:00:58,782

Christine: Whole topic, whole episode,

:

01:00:59,808 --> 01:01:01,468

Alexandra: Another heavy

hitter from Traveris.

:

01:01:01,928 --> 01:01:04,548

What is one area of your

life you self sabotage in?

:

01:01:05,325 --> 01:01:06,285

Christine: Oh gosh.

:

01:01:06,345 --> 01:01:09,345

I feel like I self sabotage

myself a lot of times.

:

01:01:09,405 --> 01:01:12,095

Like it's my relationships with others.

:

01:01:12,445 --> 01:01:17,825

My confidence in the workplace have

grown exponentially, but I still feel

:

01:01:17,825 --> 01:01:24,535

like When it comes to myself, when I

tend to like, I'm my own worst critic.

:

01:01:24,585 --> 01:01:26,895

So I feel like that's one

area that I need to work on.

:

01:01:26,945 --> 01:01:29,015

That's where I self

sabotage a lot at the time.

:

01:01:29,115 --> 01:01:29,495

Yeah.

:

01:01:29,575 --> 01:01:30,095

How about you?

:

01:01:30,630 --> 01:01:32,250

Alexandra: Yes, I do self sabotage.

:

01:01:32,330 --> 01:01:36,850

Working very hard in therapy

to not do that so much anymore.

:

01:01:37,250 --> 01:01:40,080

I feel like a big one has been my health.

:

01:01:40,630 --> 01:01:44,980

Mostly because for 15 years I struggled,

you know, with an eating disorder and

:

01:01:44,980 --> 01:01:48,680

losing weight and nothing was working

and I think I would give up too easily.

:

01:01:48,690 --> 01:01:51,010

So I think I would self sabotage in

that way when it wasn't happening

:

01:01:51,010 --> 01:01:53,110

quickly enough, then I would just go up.

:

01:01:53,230 --> 01:01:55,730

So that is an area that I

am currently turning around.

:

01:01:56,450 --> 01:02:01,230

But I also like you, Christine, I

think I self sabotage in areas of

:

01:02:01,230 --> 01:02:03,650

confidence and putting myself out there.

:

01:02:03,650 --> 01:02:06,520

So I really appreciate that

this project that we're doing

:

01:02:06,560 --> 01:02:08,490

is an opportunity to work on it.

:

01:02:09,090 --> 01:02:11,420

weekly, you know, so.

:

01:02:11,625 --> 01:02:12,435

Christine: absolutely.

:

01:02:12,861 --> 01:02:13,451

All right.

:

01:02:13,736 --> 01:02:14,196

Alexandra: right.

:

01:02:14,401 --> 01:02:14,871

Christine: Last one.

:

01:02:15,781 --> 01:02:17,701

is another episode topic.

:

01:02:19,161 --> 01:02:21,571

Okay, I'm going to start with this quote.

:

01:02:22,731 --> 01:02:25,251

Anger is the part of you

that loves you the most.

:

01:02:28,791 --> 01:02:32,031

Anger is usually present

as an indicator, right?

:

01:02:33,241 --> 01:02:35,021

what's your relationship with anger?

:

01:02:35,031 --> 01:02:40,581

Do you listen to it or suppress it because

you feel it is to mean a negative emotion?

:

01:02:41,879 --> 01:02:42,399

Alexandra: Okay.

:

01:02:43,219 --> 01:02:43,659

Whoa.

:

01:02:44,929 --> 01:02:48,609

I feel like this ties into the last

question about self sabotage because

:

01:02:49,040 --> 01:02:51,510

I think I would for a long time.

:

01:02:51,510 --> 01:02:54,300

And I want to say maybe the past

five, six months is when I really

:

01:02:54,340 --> 01:02:59,550

started changing my relationship

with emotions and feeling and not,

:

01:02:59,820 --> 01:03:03,570

Shoving it down or like suppressing

it as yeah, this is a negative motion.

:

01:03:03,570 --> 01:03:07,260

I don't want to be an angry

person versus listening to

:

01:03:07,270 --> 01:03:08,820

what is that anger telling me.

:

01:03:09,320 --> 01:03:11,010

So I feel like I have a better

relationship with anger.

:

01:03:11,010 --> 01:03:16,520

I'm using it more as a, like a barometric

tool pressure of like, where am I

:

01:03:16,670 --> 01:03:21,680

sitting with this and why am I so

angry and using it as a cue to explore.

:

01:03:21,680 --> 01:03:23,030

But what about you, Christine?

:

01:03:24,035 --> 01:03:31,055

Christine: Yeah, my, my relationship with

anger, for me, agree anger when is when

:

01:03:31,055 --> 01:03:33,055

anger is present is usually indicator.

:

01:03:33,065 --> 01:03:36,275

And I feel like it's sort

of one of the last emotions.

:

01:03:36,515 --> 01:03:40,535

It's like when you really know something

is and it's, something's bothering you.

:

01:03:40,585 --> 01:03:43,435

Some, you need to figure out like,

what's the underlying thing here.

:

01:03:43,435 --> 01:03:47,165

Cause I feel like that only

presents itself once you get to a

:

01:03:47,165 --> 01:03:49,285

point a last straw kind of thing.

:

01:03:49,995 --> 01:03:54,178

So my relationship with anger is,

you know, actually don't think it's,

:

01:03:54,378 --> 01:04:00,468

I mean, yes, how people act on anger

can be negative, but I don't think

:

01:04:00,478 --> 01:04:02,668

anger itself is a negative emotion.

:

01:04:02,968 --> 01:04:03,518

I think

:

01:04:04,308 --> 01:04:04,658

Alexandra: Yeah.

:

01:04:04,728 --> 01:04:10,568

Christine: It's one of the many

your body or subconscious makes you

:

01:04:11,428 --> 01:04:13,782

sort of understand what's going on.

:

01:04:14,052 --> 01:04:15,132

When something's wrong.

:

01:04:15,522 --> 01:04:18,682

I do listen to it and I

don't let it control me.

:

01:04:18,702 --> 01:04:20,272

I try not to let it control me.

:

01:04:20,612 --> 01:04:22,812

And it usually takes

a lot to get me angry.

:

01:04:22,872 --> 01:04:26,672

I would say, I don't know if you

agree, but I feel like I tend to

:

01:04:26,962 --> 01:04:28,802

become when I become frustrated.

:

01:04:29,542 --> 01:04:32,982

In the past, I've been like,

I shut down that's my my.

:

01:04:33,267 --> 01:04:34,907

Alexandra: Instead of

lashing out, you go down,

:

01:04:35,507 --> 01:04:40,751

Christine: coping mechanism is I shut

down usually, and I'm not trying to

:

01:04:40,801 --> 01:04:45,431

necessarily suppress it, but it's a way

like how I react and try and protect

:

01:04:45,431 --> 01:04:51,151

myself in certain situations, but when I

do get angry, it's usually when people I

:

01:04:51,151 --> 01:04:58,438

love most are hurt or are hurting And I

would love to talk on length about this.

:

01:04:58,448 --> 01:05:02,428

So I think this is an episode

topic that we should revisit,

:

01:05:02,448 --> 01:05:04,518

but where I'll stop for now.

:

01:05:05,748 --> 01:05:08,428

Alexandra: So that's two episodes

we have to put on our episodes topic

:

01:05:08,428 --> 01:05:13,358

list for:

consider and put back in, in rotation.

:

01:05:14,185 --> 01:05:15,835

Well, wow.

:

01:05:16,625 --> 01:05:17,095

Okay.

:

01:05:17,154 --> 01:05:22,945

Christine: thought this was going

to be a quick episode, but yes,

:

01:05:22,975 --> 01:05:25,365

Alexandra: I was like,

not what we get going.

:

01:05:25,865 --> 01:05:26,285

Okay.

:

01:05:26,325 --> 01:05:26,575

Wow.

:

01:05:26,575 --> 01:05:28,465

What an incredible set of questions.

:

01:05:28,575 --> 01:05:29,765

I feel like I had a blast.

:

01:05:29,895 --> 01:05:30,845

Christine, what about you?

:

01:05:31,398 --> 01:05:32,098

Christine: yes, Yes.

:

01:05:32,498 --> 01:05:33,188

So much fun.

:

01:05:33,458 --> 01:05:36,178

Alexandra: Diving into these

were so much fun and sharing some

:

01:05:36,218 --> 01:05:38,008

insights about us with all of you.

:

01:05:38,588 --> 01:05:41,058

I hope everyone listening

enjoyed this special listener

:

01:05:41,058 --> 01:05:42,578

Q and a as much as we did.

:

01:05:42,598 --> 01:05:45,138

And these questions certainly

brought smiles to our faces.
